Note: the FAQ page on our previous WordPress site was a placeholder. This is the real version — the questions we actually get asked, with straight answers. If yours isn’t on the list, give us a call or send a message.
When do you do bat exclusion?
Bat work follows seasonal timing. We can inspect any time of year, and we schedule the actual exclusion work for the right season so the whole colony exits together.
How much does wildlife removal cost?
It varies by species, access, and the scope of work. Most jobs land between $400 and $1,500. Larger jobs that include attic decontamination, insulation replacement, or extensive sealing can go higher. After-hours emergency calls have a $200 callout charge.
Do you separate raccoon or skunk families?
No. If kits are in the den, we time the exclusion around when the kits are mobile, or we do a hands-on family relocation together. Splitting a mother from her young is inhumane and usually counterproductive — she’ll chew her way back in to get to them.
Do you bait-trap bats?
No, and you shouldn’t either. Bats are insectivores — they don’t go for chicken or fish or any other “bait” you might read about online. The humane method is one-way exclusion devices that let bats leave but block re-entry. Anyone telling you to bait-trap bats is misinformed.
Do you use poison or kill animals?
No. We do humane exclusion only. No poisons, no kill traps, no toxicants. Live trapping and one-way exclusion, with structural sealing afterwards.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold the Wildlife Damage and Nuisance Control authorization from the Province of Ontario, and we carry commercial general liability insurance.
How fast can you come out?
For non-emergency inspections, typically within the same week — often within a couple of days. For after-hours emergencies (bat in the living space, aggressive raccoon, animal stuck), we answer 24/7 at 519-783-1575.
Do you serve my town?
We cover Grey, Bruce, Huron, Simcoe, and parts of Middlesex County out of our Owen Sound and Bayfield locations. If you’re not sure whether we serve your area, call us or fill out the contact form and we’ll confirm.
What animals do you handle?
The four species we work with daily: bats, raccoons, skunks, and squirrels. We also handle occasional birds, opossums, and rodent jobs. If you’re not sure what’s in your attic, we can identify it on the inspection.
