The Critter Guy safety policy
The Critter Guy is fully licensed and experienced in the humane removal of wildlife pests. Here is an example of our bat removal quote form, which includes an indemnity acknowledgement so the customer is not liable for any injuries or contraction of biological diseases such as rabies, histoplasmosis, or Histoplasma capsulatum (also known by its older name Ajellomyces capsulatus).

Why we ask you to sign
Wildlife removal touches a small handful of real pathogens that show up only rarely but matter when they do:
- Rabies — present in a small percentage of bats; we use proper handling protocols and PPE on every job.
- Histoplasmosis — a respiratory infection caused by Histoplasma capsulatum spores in bat or bird guano. This is why attic clean-up is part of any bat job that involves a colony.
- Baylisascaris (raccoon roundworm) — present in raccoon feces; we handle latrine clean-up in protective gear and dispose of materials properly.
Every job we do follows Ontario wildlife-handling guidance, and our crew is trained in humane wildlife handling, PPE protocols, and structural-cleanup procedures.
